About Twinkle

Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh is committed to moving our state forward and creating a brighter future for our children and grandchildren.

A mother, a born-again Christian, and a champion of conservative government, Twinkle Cavanaugh is committed to moving our state forward and create a brighter future for our children and grandchildren.

Since last January, Twinkle has traveled over 40,000 miles on her personal vehicle while meeting, speaking with, and listening to thousands of Alabamians. With your help, she will bring her positive vision to the Lieutenant Governor’s office and make Alabama shine!

Today, Twinkle serves the people of Alabama as President of the Public Service Commission, where she has turned her Christian values into conservative government by leading the effort to return over $50 million to taxpayers, cutting her agency’s staff by 40%, and cutting her agency’s use of state vehicles by 60%. She even even refused to take a state car for herself.

Since casting her first vote for Ronald Reagan in 1984, Twinkle has embraced the principles of smaller government and fiscal responsibility. Over the past six years, she has “rightsized” the PSC and reduced overall spending by 30%. This has saved the taxpayers over $50 million and will continue to save our state over $10 million annually.

Previously, Twinkle served in the governor’s cabinet as senior advisor and worked for former Congressman Sonny Callahan. She worked at the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C. and was elected as the first female Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party in 2005. Twinkle also served as the State Director of Citizens for a Sound Economy (CSE), helping to push President George W. Bush’s tax cuts through Congress. She has also owned several small businesses.

A graduate of Auburn University, Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh is married to Jeff Cavanaugh, a veterinarian. They have three children and two grandchildren. The Cavanaughs are active members of First Baptist Church in Montgomery, where they teach Sunday School and where Jeff serves as a Deacon.

Help make Alabama a brighter place!
